About Us

Hello! We’re Vietbay Teens.

Due to the 2021 outbreak of the COVID-19 Delta strain in Vietnam, several lockdowns took place. Vietnamese markets and street vendors were forced to close down. Schools switched to online learning. Many Vietnamese people lost their only source of income, and others their education due to lack of resources. In early September, when the Mid-Autumn Festival was quickly approaching, we decided to organize an event to raise money to contribute to the existing fundraise by VietBay—a Non-Profit Organization registered in Palo Alto—to help underprivileged people in Vietnam who struggled due to the outbreak.

Since then, we have registered VietBay Teens as an independent NPO, and we have organized annual events during the Mid-Autumn Festival to commemorate our heritage, while supporting those back in our home country.

Bridging the cultural gap between generations.

We are a group of Vietnamese-American high school students dedicated to reconnecting with our cultural roots. Driven by our passion for sharing Vietnamese traditions and supporting those in need, we organize cultural fundraising events that celebrate our heritage while donating proceeds to charities in Vietnam.

In the Bay Area, we focus on educating our community about important social issues and collaborating with local groups to promote civic engagement and community involvement.

Our Mid-Autumn Festival events highlight the beauty of our heritage, creating meaningful connections between our generation, our ancestors, and our elders.
